Hey guys it` s Maven and I just wanted to talk about how much effort the fisherman put into keeping the slaughtering a secret. They go through alot with tarps and gaurds so that noone sees the blood and disgust that the fisherman cause. But let me ask you this , if the fisherman feel like they have to cover up what they do than why do they do it ?

Getting Obama involved!

Hey guys Lauren here! I just had an idea that maybe all of us could write a letter to the President asking him for help, and we can all send the letters in on a specific date so he knows we are all with DPP. Please post you comment right here telling me what you think, or any further ideas.

Sharks!

Hey Lauren here, I just found one more great reason that the dolphins population shouldn't go down. I was watching a (non graphic) video of how a dolphin saved a divers life from a shark. And I don't get why their killing dolphins because the dolphins want the fish to, well sharks are an even bigger threat and I don't see the fishermen killing any sharks!!!!!!

Hey guys !!!!!!!! Maven here and earlier I was doing some research and I foun this paragraph and thought I would link it below!!!!!!!!!!

," Hundreds of dolphins are killed in these coves between September and March. Fisherman slay the dolphins by driving a pin into their necks, by slashing their throats with knives or by spearing them with harpoons from their boats. In addition members of the international dolphin display industry attend these dolphin slaughters to purchase show - quality dolphins for use in captive dolphin shows and dolphin swimming programs; the dolphins not selected are slaughtered. This is the largest scale dolphin slaughter in the world and unfortunately very few even know it takes place. Even In Japan not many people are aware of this atrocity occurring.''

You guys should really check out http://indietravelpodcast.com/japan/tradition-travesty-dolphin-killings-japan/ where I got all this information. LOve you lots !!!!!!!!!!!

Adopt a dolphin now!

Hey Lauren here, Were sorry we don't have anything set up for donations for the dolphins, but I do have one strategy for you. Go to Dolphin Tale's home page ( Click HERE!) and they have a program set up were you can adopt a sea animal or a dolphin. You only pay $25 a month, but you get a certificate, a monthly update, and some other stuff to. But I thought it is just a great opportunity for you to donate to these dolphins since Dolphin Tale was what inspired me and Maven to start DPP! So don't feel like you have to donate, I just thought what a great opportunity. OH YA and a big shout out for any of you who have started to leave comments!!!

Sea World!!!

It's Lauren ,and I'm sorry I'm not doing a fun introduction because I'm still in shock! I just watched a video on you-tube that was talking about how Sea World is reasponsible for every thing that is going on with the dolphins in Taigii. Sea World is actually buying from the fishermen but not hurting them. And I really was just most disapointed and upset because I felt like if a marine wild life asosiciation as big as Sea World doesn't have the dolphins back, who does? And that was the worst part for me.

The Cove

It's Lauren again. I just checked out a trailer for a movie called (The Cove).  I can't be the one to tell you if it's ok to watch, because right now I have only seen the trailer. So if you are a kid I would get it checked by your parents, and watch the trailer. The Cove is all about these men who are trying to save the dolphins in Taigii and get film and proof of the whole situation.
